In order to give effective play of the technical center, the company increases the investment on scientific research year by year. Now the company has DEC255, DEC200 graphic workstation, 2 sets of Pro/E workstation version software, 3 sets of computer version Pro/E soft wares, 15 sets of AutoCAD, 13 sets of Kaimu CAD software, 35 computers and HP7580 drawing instrument, etc. , which are used to design graphs. Besides, there is ZK3050 digital control engine power testing machine, 3500t oil press, digital control cutter, etc., which are used to the trail of new products. All these have greatly improved the efficiency of scientific research of Xinjiang Automobile Co.

Since the technical center has established, it increase investment on development, improve technical innovation and development ability continuously. It faces the market, developed series of new products, made the structure of products varied, especially developed heavy-duty vehicle, cross-desert vehicle and special-purpose vehicle.

In recent years, guide by the product developing policies: rely on high tech, rely on large group, try best to develop heavy-duty vehicle with perfect performance, good quality, suit to the state situation and unique character, the center has create a wide foreground of new products development. Besides improved the original cross-desert vehicle, develop EQ1241G series 6×2 autos, made the company became the first domestic enterprise that batch manufacture 6×2 autos. At the same time, the center develop EQ1211G series 6×4 vehicle and EQ1300G series 8×4 series vehicle. Break through the technology of engine application, carriage design and suspension design. All these made the heavy-duty vehicles manufactured by Dongfeng Co. reached high technical level.
